LL Bean or Eddie Bauer. They both stand by their warranty and the backpacks still look good.
Kid off to college this year with 4 year old Eddie Bauer.
By high school the backpack is not a fashion item.

My kids have used LL Bean for years and they look new after 4-5y of use. But they are going into middle school and didn't want to use them this year. I relented and bought what they wanted - Under Armor.
