-stovetop oatmeal w/fruit & toast, microwaved breakfast sausage maybe
-cheesy scrambled eggs w/fruit & toast, microwaved breakfast sausage maybe
-toasted bagels w/cream cheese & fruit
-toaster waffles w/fruit & cottage cheese
-blueberry muffins (the big ones from Safeway), with fruit & cottage cheese

These are the five that I do each week but I mix them up a little bit so it isn't always the same thing on a Tuesday, for example.

Do you like your sandwich maker? I'm sorely tempted, but my husband will complain it's just another one of my kitchen appliances taking up space in our small kitchen.

Add vegetarian refried beans, and your kid can have some protein too.

Adding beans is good for fiber, too (although there is protein in the cheese and ww tortilla so the breakfast is fine as is, imo).

Muffins are good for this. Love morning glory muffins, which seem healthy (we make some with apples, apple butter, carrots, etc). But we also make peanut butter/banana/choc chip, which are filling.

My kids are tweens and teens and can get breakfast themselves, but we usually don't have time for a sit-down breakfast. What are some ideas for five-minute breakfasts (and options for items that we can eat in the car)?

Thanks!!
