No, it wasn't.

+1 - we are in Charleston and totality was incredible. We were worried about clouds but they held off. So so glad we made this trip.

We had a great time. We made a day of it and went to a science museum, saw a show about the sun, looked around the museum, and then looked at the eclipse through the safety glasses. Then we went for a very late lunch. It was nice being out and about and I think my kids will remember it.

I'm in Nashville and seeing totality was AMAZING! My son loved it, and it was just fantastic.

It was great to see how enthusiastic people were.

Feel better soon.

We were in Columbia, SC and it was the coolest thing. Totality was amazing.

I agree. Watched on the roof at work with coworkers and it was a nice communal experience. If only we had more of those!

We were at a park and people shared glasses.

More enjoyable than expected. We went to a national park site that was supposed to have free glasses and a lecture. They had 100 glasses and maybe 1500 people. While it was initially a bit hunger gamesish with people angling to get glasses it ended up with big groups sharing a pair, and also sharing their other viewing devices. Very sociable and friendly and seeing the eclipse through the glasses, even though were were in the 65% range, was worth it.
