We live in AdMo so the commute to LAMB is a factor. But we love the idea of Spanish immersion. We don't live close to family so I love the idea having the school another place we feel community.

We would likely attend Seaton for 2 years and then move to our in bound which is Oyster and then Wilson.

Does LAMB feed into DCI?

I see the move to Oyster as another reason to choose LAMB. If you like LAMB you stay. If you don't, your kiddo already has a leg up with Spanish.

LAMB is trying to get the Kingsbury school up on 14th, to fulfill their long stated goal to have one campus. They don't have it yet, but the process is moving forward. They do feed into DCI. This is a good location for you in AdMo.

How is the Kingsbury process moving forward? Last I heard they hadn't gone before a zoning board yet, right?

They have not.

There's no choice between these two. An emerging DCPS with no middle or high feeder possibility that is feasible in the near future, versus one of the city's oldest, most established charters with great test scores and a feeder path.

(And I'm saying this as a person who is beyond livid about the way LAMB handled the recent sexual abuse)

I'd always think long-term. Middle/High school are better for LAMB, even though Seaton is great.

Agreed. You can always go back to Seaton if you don't like it.

SD for one year, then Kingsbury!

Wow, if Seaton makes you happy then congratulations on having two choices that you like.

I'd be on LAMB like white on rice.

These are really different schools. How interested are you in Montessori? How interested are you in language immersion? How much do you care about middle and high school? Where do you currently live and how much of a commute is each school? To what extent does that commute disrupt your daily lives, assuming that you will need to make it twice a day at the worst times of day?

I know people who have been very happy at both schools, but they are people with vastly different educational priorities. I would not consider the schools similar at all except that people seem generally happy with them both.

Hello! My child received a spot at Seaton in PK3 in the lotter. We have been very excited and looking forward to it, but yesterday we received an email that a spot at LAMB SD had opened for her. I am touring LAMB SD tomorrow.

I am interested to hear how other parents feel about the PK3 program at Seaton and at LAMB SD.

Are we crazy to stay at Seaton?
