I've been wanting to watch the new Netflix series Julie's Greenroom (with Julie Andrews), but my kids aren't quite old enough to enjoy it.

I agree that classic Disney movies are great. A lot of really old movies can be fun too (mostly comedies and musicals), but I don't know if you're into them.

These are rated PG. I don't know if you'd be okay with that.

Princess Bride
Short circuit
Galaxy Quest

Definitely Sing for both ages. And Despicable Me (the first one). It's funny for all ages! I don't like the Minions Movie or the 2nd Despicable Me. Haven't seen the 3rd). Oh, and the Peanuts Movie.

The Neverending Story? Gremlins or Goonies might work when the 4 year old is sleeping. My 4 year old liked E.T. but there is some cursing that I didn't remember (whoops!) so I wouldn't recommend it.

Good way to traumatized a kid when he wakes up to a gremlin. I'd take ET over the blatant stereotypes in goonies.

I typically get them out from the library and return when we are back.

Chitty chitty bang bang was a bit creepy.

I like the others you mentioned as well as the jungle book and Robin Hood and flushed away. For the 80s try honey I shrunk the kids. It's been a while since I've seen it but I don't remember anything objectionable.

Cyber chase, George shrinks, and wishbone are good tv shows.

I love phineas&ferb - nothing objectionable, just super smart kids with awesome building skills and a good dry sense of humor.

My kids have also loved books on tape for years (including that age range). For some reason wizard of oz was a big hit at 4?? I didn't try harry potter until 6 but I think they could do the series on repeat over and over

Also - Star Wars 4, 5, 6 if your kid doesn't scare easily, ditto on princess bride. Despicable me is pretty funny for parents too.

We have an 8 year old and a 4 year old. I'm trying to make an upcoming long drive less painful with some screen time for the kids. I don't want to listen to a super annoying kids' show though. Any suggestions for shows or movies that the kids can watch that we will also enjoy from the front seat? Bonus points if it's something nostalgic from the 80s. (4 year old scares easily, but there might be some time when he is sleeping.) Thanks in advance!
