My Bloomingdales leather sofa has held up for 10 years. Looks and feels close to new. Now there a climbing toddler so we will see how it fares. It was $6k back then.

Are Macy's couches made in the USA and of real wood?

Really happy with my axis II sectional from C&B. It was made in North Carolina. It has held up significantly better than our previous sofa from Room & Board. That one fell apart.

Crate and Barrel gets its upholstered furniture from Lee Industries, which sells to a number of other local stores as well. Lee's quality is good, but you'll pay a premium through Crate and Barrel. Some of their frames and fabrics are exclusive to Crate and Barrel, but often times you can get the same frame with a slightly different fabric elsewhere if you're not overly attached to the fabric. Go to the Lee Industries website and search for their retail stores near you, and then take a trip over to one and see what they can do for you.

we got a great one at belfort.

I would avoid havertys- we got a sofa there and after it a year it was uncomfortable and drooping.

Also, I have been impressed with the oversized sofa we have from Macys.

Is Crate & Barrel good quality that lasts? We really liked the Lounge II sectional - however it's expensive, but what made it so nice was how deep it was - and it felt like quality furniture.

We're looking to buy a quality made, reliable (something that will not fall apart in less than 5 years), and comfortable sectional.

We were at Crate & Barrel this past weekend, we really liked the Lounge II sectional - but I wanted to get everyone's opinion. I don't want to just pay for someone's branding - I want quality and comfort that will last.

I do realize that overtime all furniture will fade - but I do think quality furniture lasts a lot longer and is overall more comfortable.

We're okay with paying $$$ if it's for a sofa/sectional that will last. We're past the Jennifer Convertible/Ashley Furniture phase in our life and want quality and comfort.
