Yeah, fair point. Although what really bothered me is that the mom of the screamer was yakking on the phone for an hour while her child shrieked and annoyed everyone else.

ANd now that child is asleep. Aaaah! Going to pool tomorrow.

Maybe Alexa did it?

I have two children, OP, and cannot stand the screamers. Parents who let their kids do it are inconsiderate and self-centered, raising kids who will be the same. Children can have plenty of fun without shrieking to the point it disturbs others around them. Unfortunately, I don't think there's much you can do besides shoot the evil eye to the kids.

I have a child and I am totally on your side, OP. The worst part of parenting for me is having to deal with other people's children. I wear noise cancelling headphones at the pool. Works like a charm.

Let me guess OP-you were born at the age of 32 right?

You know there are 20+ other topic forums not involving parenting, right?

But we won't have much sympathy for you. Got it?

I'm the OP and I didn't post the previous comment. Seems others agree with me though.

Was everyone else actually annoyed? Or just you?

These children are outside. Yelling/shrieking is allowed outside.

Had to vent. I (unfortunately) accidentally rented in a building that for some reason has a lot of children. Every time I go to the pool to relax I am surrounded by children screaming, slapping each other with pool noodles, splashing other people, high pitched shrieking, etc. cannot wait to move to a building without a lot of little kids.
