There's no reason to assume it would turn into an every week thing. This didn't just happen out of the blue, it was because of a particular set of circumstances that isn't going to happen every week. Don't invent problems where there aren't any, or you'll quickly find you now have real problems.

Dude.

You said this is the first week this has happened in YEARS.

Are you out of your mind? Are you jealous he has friends now or something? (Because you didn't mention kids)

Next time he goes out say you are going to meet him.

If he freaks out it's a problem.

If he is happy to have to join, then it is all good.

It depends. Do you know who he is with and where they are? Is he drinking and driving? Is he spending a lot of money?

Are you worried he's with another woman? Is that a concern? Does he work with single people who like to go out and party, or does this seem suspicious?

Unless there's some broader context to this that you haven't shared or it's created an affirmative problem for you that just going out until 9 or 10 pm wouldn't have, I would let it go. If it becomes an ongoing change, though, or if there's something else you're not telling us that's giving you cause for concern, I might feel differently.

I'd let it go for now. Twice in 2-3 years? Who cares.

If this becomes more frequent, it's definitely worth a sit down talk.

I think it's worth letting him know that you're annoyed. You can say that once in awhile is fine (don't want to spoil his fun with friends) but twice in a week is too often.

My DH is usually a grounded homebody who is always home by dinner time. The past 2 days this week, he has gone out to party with some office friends and came home at 1 am and 2 am. This has happened for the first time in like...2-3 years? I am a little irritated. Should I let it go?
