I am perpetually making poor choices. I don't realize I am after I'm on the other side.
Some examples:
-studying liberal arts even though family repeatedly told me to major in STEM or be a doctor.
-being petty and selfish with loved ones and driving them away.
-marrying the wrong man.
What can I do to make good decisions?
You need to learn to be wise, not intelligent. Read some philosophy books, read the Bible even if you are not Christian -- it will explain you the basic moral principle, and the consequences of the wrong choices, so you won't do them again.
