Thanks for the responses but we already decided on Denny/Dennie. We are just debating which spelling.

So even if you hate the name - which spelling do you hate the most?

How about Eden or Nadine or Dina, and then Dennie for a nickname?

I know a female named Dennison who goes by Dennie.

I'd go with Eden and then use Dennie as a nickname.

Or Deenie, Judy Blume's scoliosis book.

I like Denise -- I think Huxtable -- but Denny (how either Denny or Dennie would be pronounced) association is the restaurant. If I were introduced to a girl named Denny/Dennie, I'd assumed either short for Denise or that I'd misheard Jenny/Jennie.

I love the name for a girl! I think I prefer the spelling "Dennie" - not sure why - it looks prettier to me.

Great choice! Unusual without being weird and so pretty!

If you love the name Denny, wait until you have a boy. This is not a good name for a girl, OP. It's not feminine in the least.

I'd go with Dennie just to help avoid a little bit of the association with Denny's the restaurant.

I love the name Denny but don't like Denise - so we decided to name her Denny/Dennie. But we cannot agree on the spelling.

Which do you like better? DH's grandmother was Jennie (her formal name - not a nickname) so he likes Dennie. My aunt is a Denise but always went by Denny, so I like Denny.
