Yes! That's what I was thinking, too. I'm white, but I don't mind when a friend calls me mama or girl.

I HATE lady. So annoying and I know someone who does it regularly. I realize it's my own quirk though. I've never heard mama used other than in the correct context.

I completely agree. Also, I am not a preggers mama. I am a mother who happens to be pregnant again.

Even when the person isn't a mother?

A friend did that to me recently. I thought it was so weird, especially because I'm openly childfree by choice.
