Have you ever noticed that British people really can't sing?
Every time I see a TV show where the theme is sung (mostly kid shows like "Angelina Ballerina" or "Mia and Me"), or even when I hear British cast recordings of musicals, the allegedly "good/professional" voices are so weak. I mean, listening to an Andrew Lloyd Weber "best of" compilation, there aren't any decent British voices, except maybe Sara Brightman. I suppose Susan Boyle has a decent voice, but she's not phenomenal. See also: every Spice Girl.
Singer-songwriters get a pass because they are talented in other ways, but the British seriously have pedestrian voices.
