Birds and animals dedicate on the same grass. Sweat and other unmentionables wash off of people in the same outdoor shower. Like I said, urine is sterile. It's not as if I'm encouraging them to pee in the shallow end. Get over yourself.

Is that why my dd needs to pee twice for a 1/2 hr lesson? She's normally a camel, but something about the dang pool, she always has to pee!!

This is why I like swimming in creeks and rivers.

Ha! My 9 year old peed on the pool deck early this summer because he had to go badly, didn't want to pee in the pool and underestimated the time he needed to get to the bathroom. He tried to pass it off as water dripping from him and I am fairly certain I am the only one that saw it, but argh!

I could have throttled him. As I was scolding him to either get out of the pool faster or pee IN the pool instead of on the deck, he looked at me horrified and said that it is gross to pee in the pool. Ummm...and peeing on the pool deck is better?!?

Our pool has a giant set of steps you need to go down to get to the bathrooms. When we toured the pool having to traipse up and down those stairs for bathroom breaks never occurred to me--the kids were in diapers. Now I think the same as you OP.

Ha! I've had the same thought, believe me.

Every time one of them says "Mom! I need to go to the bathroom" I am so tempted to whisper "Just pee in the pool!" But I don't. I faithfully get out, take them to the bathroom (they're 6 and under), go through the whole thing, and come back.

Wish they'd just whiz in there.
