Subject: Performing and visual arts high school in Md/DC?
There are a few options in the Baltimore area: Baltimore School for the Arts is the private school option, Carver Center for the Arts & Technology (my alma mater) is a whole-school audition/portfolio-based magnet, and Patapsco High School & Center for the Arts also has an arts magnet within the school.

I can't think of any that are completely dedicated, but Potomac School does have an Arts concentration program (VPAC) that freshman have to apply into. They can choose a visual or performing arts concentration. Again, not as comprehensive, but provides a deeper engagement for the student.

Nothing quite on the level of Duke Ellington. I would say that Burke has a pretty impressive arts program, including music, visual arts, and theater.

We have Duke Ellington in DC, and I'm aware of an academy program at Albert Einstein in montgomery county (not an audition program / there is a portfolio program for visual arts, however.) Any private school programs dedicated to the arts in this part of the country?
