We also like Bete and the bonus is they have a cute patio out back.

Ethiopic on H St. is one of our very favorites. Consistently delish with great service.

The food at Sheba was good the one time we went, but the owner was not very pleasant when we complimented her. Maybe it was just an off day, but we didn't feel like returning.

Zenebech hands down, if their new location is open.

I really like Sheba in Rockville b/c they have a bigger
vegan/vegetarian menu than most Ethiopian restaurants, including dishes you rarely see outside of Ethiopia. Also, the owner is super, super nice.

Thanks for these recommendations. I was thinking about checking out Silver Spring.

I've never had BAD Ethiopian in Silver Spring. People recommend Bellager, which is newish, but I've never tried it. Bellager is a more "sit down" nice place, and Beteseb is much more casual. The thing I like about Beteseb is that it shows the cuisine continuing to evolve even in diaspora.
