Most of those have been torn down for huge multi million dollar mansions off Falls and Glen.

What??? Are you sure you're not thinking of Potomac Elementary? There are lots of neighborhoods that feed into Wayside that were in the 6-800,000 range when I lived there (up until 4 years ago). I don't know what the prices are now but I doubt all those 1970s colonials appreciated that much.

The comments on this thread are ridiculous. Parents at Wayside are very much part of the fabric of the school...probably more so than most schools in MCPS. I think the jealous posters are here because they hate that they can't afford to live in one of the most desired elementary school districts in MCPS.

Agree with PP - not a lot of parents involved. Not sure if most of the pick up is done by nannies. If so, they drive really nice cars!! Most of DD's friends (3rd grade) have FT nannies during the week and a few on weekends too. Most of the 4th graders have iPhones too. Not mine!

MCPS teachers hate parents and post these inane anonymous comments. Ask a friend or neighbor and do not get your information from this site.

Which school community is more paranoid about teachers trolling on the forums: Wayside or Beverly Famrs?

That's just NOT true from my experience. There were LOTS of parents involved with school activities, though I don't believe parents are allowed to work directly in the classroom with students.

Does Wayside ES not allow parent volunteers at the playground, in the school, etc? Could not find it on their website...
