We use OK to Wake (the owl) on the weekends. During the week we use ourselves . But the owl is perfect for letting her know when it's "okay" to get out of bed and stomp around.

Alarm clocks are a great idea. My kids hate getting up but don't mind nearly as much when it's their alarm clocks instead of us doing the waking. DS has a football clock. DD has a generic purple one. I'd go with a simple one that they can use for years. Something easy she can learn to set herself. They love to use them with sleepovers for some reason.

Ah, DCUM - come for the product advice, walk away with judgment about your parenting. I do not understand why posters here constantly assume the worst about people asking questions. My kids asked for and loved getting alarm clocks, and having them certainly never precluded us from popping in the second the alarm went off to snuggle them.

Of course I do, and will continue to do so! She's just been asking for a clock for a while, so was looking for recs for a cool kids one.

I got my son (who is older) a cool alarm clock that projects the time on the ceiling. It is not a special kid alarm clock but something he can use for years.
