When I did outside monitoring at SG I was on BCBS federal without any infertility coverage. I paid a $40 copay only for visits that would have been $400+ without coverage. At first I thought it was because I started out doing timed intercourse, which does get coverage under that policy because it's not an ART, and then when I switched to IUI and IVF, they just never updated it. But then I read other posters on here also say they only paid a small copay on BCBS without infertility coverage. They must just choose to bill it differently than DF.

hello,
I am planning going to SIRM NY after unsucessful cycle in DF.
I want to do local monitoring.
When I called SG, they said they do a outside patient monitoring and I only pay co-pay and monitoring doesn't fall in the infertility so you will be covered eventhough you don't have infertility coverage. Is that correct?
I emailed Dominion fertility, they said they also accept the outside patient monitoring but monotoring consider as infertility treatment .
I don't know the info i got is right.
I do have BCBS and tricare.
Please, enlighten me and give me some advice!
Thank you in advance.
