I went through the testing and it was trisomy 13. I couldn't handle the emotional pain of this potentially happening again, moved on to donor egg. No looking back!

I was also told it's random, although at 38 your chances of another are much higher. I had a triploid chromosomal abnormality, then a chemical (so not able to test, but likely chromosomal loss) then a normal pregnancy. Then at 39 I had a Trisomy 13. Age definitely is a risk factor.

This. Your RE should explain how to interpret the results when they send them. I had this done, and there was a trisomy in a chromosome that makes a fetus non-viable (I can't remember which, maybe 20). The results also showed that the extra chromosome was maternal. RE said that it was just random.

I just had a D and C and opted to get fetal testing done. My question is if there is chromosomal defect, does that mean I will have a greater chance of another pregnancy with chromosome issues? I am 38.
