That show makes me sad because of the poverty and mental illness for our entertainment. When they bust people for pot it seems so unfair.

More glorifying the police, especially individual officers, who are put up as recurring characters with hashtags and a following. In terms of indifference/disrespect to the citizens they’re protecting and serving, it’s about the same.

The show is considered live news coverage, as such, use of likeness isn't generally required. I'm guessing that previous recordings throughout the week require consent, and that's where you'll find blurred faces. They may also be a result of being on private property vs public property. The show has legal teams present in the control room. I don't know why accidents are blurred except that it could be considered graphic by the network (nude suspects would be blurred below as well), or it could just be respect for victims and their families.

I’ve noticed the blurring happens live on the underage people and those that are seriously hurt in an accident.
The blurring on the “earlier in ____ county” seems to happen when it’s something crazy they are pulled over for and no crime was actually committed.

seems like when it is live and a new show that you do not see blurred images on the face, I have noticed it in reruns though as if they didn't allow their image after the fact...now I need to pay closer attention.

The show has a slight delay on the time, you can be watching one individual being arrested that happened about a hour or more ago.

There's no changing their mind about being filmed as it's filmed live.
I think it's due to laws in the various states/counties and if the person may be underage. They also tend to blur the faces of victims/ill people when the police are called to those types of situations.
I've also noticed lately that when a suspect is becoming very agitated about the cameras, the camera person will pan off them and focus on the police. When I first started watching, even if the suspect was upset about being filmed, they still kept showing the suspect.
Live PD is my guilty pleasure.

Some people agree to being filmed and some don't.

Any idea? I've seen episodes where people say that they do not want to be filmed yet they are not blurred but on other episodes those being arrested are blurred.
