Just remember every pregnancy is different. Nausea is a good sign. Repeat this to yourself: today, I am pregnant. I also like the quote that your love for this baby is greater than your fear of losing it. Hang in there.

I asked the nurse yesterday and she said the ultrasound is not until July 17th. I am going back in tomorrow for a third beta. The spotting is still there. Light and brown. I feel nauseous, but not pregnant. My past miscarriages have definitely instilled fear and anxiety in me. After all your comments about spotting during IVF my nerves have calmed a bit. However, to protect my heart and soul I need to keep my guard up. Thank you for checking in. I will keep you posted. I don't feel like my uterus is stretching/growing like it did with my older daughter.

That sounds like a good beta op. Is your RE going to do an ultrasound this week to take a look?

Like PP, I had a lot of spotting with my second pregnancy (both pregnancies I've had were through IVF) during and after my betas into the 9th or 10th week. It was horribly unnerving and it came without rhyme or reason. My twins are healthy three year olds now.

OP- I hope this makes you feel more encouraged. I had a very strong beta and was so excited! A few days later I had both heavy spotting and cramping. I was sure I was having a miscarriage because I have had one before and the symptoms were similar. Well everything was fine - in fact I was pregnant with twins who are now almost 2 years old.

I'm sorry you're going through this OP. The waiting is the worst part.

My beta doubled (almost). It went from 2,300 to 5,580. I am keeping my guard up as I spotted like this in my last miscarriages. I truly appreciate all the positive vibes. It has been an emotional 24 hours.

Thank you for the responses. They help me to hold on to some hope. I am still waiting on the call from the second beta. I can't help but wonder if it is something I did, but I know that is a natural process we go through. I have lost two pregnancies between 5 and 6 weeks. I am on progesterone oil injections and estradiol. The spotting what pink/red last night and has turned brown today. Trying very hard to hold my head up and keep my hormones under control...
The embryo was PGS normal 6 day blast.

When is your ultrasound? When I went to SGF after I started to bleed the first time, I was told that over 40% of IVF patients experience bleeding/spotting. Turned out to be nothing and my toddler is sleeping soundly in his nursery right now. Hope yours is a false alarm as well.

So far I only have one, conceived without ART, but I spotted periodically from 6-9 weeks and carried to term (usually after exercise or sex, but sometimes inexplicably). Sending good vibes.

I always spot after positive beta, right around when my period is due. Twice it's ended up as a miscarriage, but much later on, like 8-9 weeks so I don't think the spotting was necessarily relevant. This time, I also spotted, but I am about 15 weeks. I'd guess if you had a strong beta, you are ok! Best of luck, OP.

Yes, with my first and second pregnancies I had spotting from the first beta through the first 12 weeks. Very upsetting and scary. In both cases the spotting was light pink - not bright red - initially. Then, at around 6 weeks I started getting bright red spotting and this was determined to be a subchorionic hematoma. Ultimately, went on to have healthy babies but it was frightening.

I was on progesterone for the first 8 weeks of my pregnancy. My RE said some women do have bleeding and sub chorionic hematomas - it's not uncommon.

The hardest part is not knowing what it means. I'm sorry you're going through this. I hope that you go on to have a healthy pregnancy.

I'm sorry. Did you say you have had repeat losses? Are you on progesterone?

Some spotting can be normal. Or it might not be. Only time will tell, unfortunately. I hope this is just a small blip in a long and healthy pregnancy.

Hello, I am feeling very discouraged and upset. I had one PGS normal embryo. On Monday my beta was very strong. Last night I started spotted. This is my first IVF experience as I had repeated pregnancy lost and this seems to be the pattern. This is all too familiar. Did anyone have spotting after a strong beta? I am waiting on the results of the repeat from this morning. Feeling sad to say the least...
