I bought the egg crate pad + mattress pad + bed bug cover when my first when to college and didn't regret a cent spent. You can use multiple Bed Bath and Beyond coupons for the purchase!

OP here, thanks for the advice. One more question.... did you feel the need to use an "anti-bed bug/mites" cover as well, or is that overkill?
