She also lifted the lid on the royals and showed us a lot of their dirty laundry. Which was of course fascinating.

Speaking as someone who was slightly younger than her, there was a great transformation during the period of her engagement from a relatively plain young girl to a very alluring glamorous woman. She also lost a great deal of weight during her engagement and the early part of her marriage. It was very interesting to see how her looks changed. I loved to see pictures of her beautiful clothes.

Prior to her joining the royal family, they were very non-descript and didn't appear in the press.

She was one of those women who got better with age. She was nothing special in her 20s but by her 30s she really grew into herself and had great style and empathetic grace. She got better with age.
