OP here. I decided to let it go. It's been this long, no use stirring up bad feelings all over again.
Oh well, life goes on.

Is your ex remarried?

I find the idea of re-connecting to your former soul mate romantic!

Who went to jail? Don't contact her again. Let her be.

Jail?? Were you abusive to her? If so, please don't contact her again.

Yes, but our kids are older teenagers and we weren't dicks to each other at the end of the marriage. Justs realized neither of us was happy.

Yes, but it hasn't been 30 years for us - we still have middle-school aged kids together.

Nope. No reason to stay friends. Let it go OP. It's been 30 years for Christ sake, move on already. She doesn't need your apologies 3 decades later. You sound like an obsessive borderline narcissist.

Nope. If you make contact with her, you will regret it. Stay away.

My first marriage ended terribly.
Fighting, bickering, jail.
Really bad. I mean really bad.

So, I find out yesterday she's divorced again & available.
I found her on Facebook.
Should I try to talk to her after 30 years?
All I want to tell her is I'm sorry for the way stuff turned out.
I really don't want to be in another relation ship with her again.

We are both type A's. Each one has to be right all the time.
She knows what buttons to push to set me off.
I don't want that again, believe me.

I just want to say I'm sorry.
How should I proceed?
