Well done, that's a prestigious college. Do you plan to spend any time in the Santa Fe college? And will you come back and answer questions about St John's generally? I think that could prove to be very helpful to a lot of folks here.

I always thought Trinity was where you went if you got bad grades at an elite prep school.

Most would agree that the SLACs lean slight to hard left. Its been that way for quite sometime.

And the Trinity administration chose to close campus after white supremacists threatened to kill the professor (for reposting an article on facebook). I'm white, I think the person who wrote the piece, who goes by Son of Baldwin, is great-a thoughtful and interesting writer on race.

My kid, who is a rising senior, liked St. John's very much after a recent visit there. I have a feeling DC will be applying as it seems a very good fit.
So I hope to hear during the coming year what you think of it.

OP, I am a Trinity alum and frankly, it leans right politically - not left. Lots of kids of wealthy Republican families.

The kids may or may not lean Right, but regardless, they don't teach the classes. The faculty is overwhelmingly Liberal.

Trinity was pretty high on my list for a while. It has a reputation for being an extremely preppy school, which I like. However, after speaking with some friends in New England and taking a glance at Trinitys student newspaper, I crossed it off my list pretty quickly. It's my understanding that the faculty is extremely liberal. Conservatives are certainly in the minority. What major is your DC interested in?

Trinity DC (the Kellyanne Conway school) and Trinity in Connecticut are two very different schools

I don't think the question was whether it was overrun by liberals...just whether there was lot (?) What college these days isn't overrun by "liberals"? Joking aside talk about a "nutty professor"? Wanting a Congressman shot but a loon to die? Give us all a break.

At one point DC was considering Trinity so we were conducting some due diligence. This week a college professor posted some outrageous commentary about the shooting of Republicans at a ball park in DC forcing the campus and school to actually close to due outrage inflicted upon the school. Long intro to the question....can anyone share their thoughts on this school? Is it really packed full of liberals in the nature of this professor?
