Also, schools usually have restrictions on using the fields during school hours but since you plan to be training your kids (who presumably would be in school anyway during school hours), that probably won't be an issue for you.

You will have no problems. I do it all the time with my two kids for the same reasons you are planning on. I've had to move to different areas but they are usually good about communicating and that is totally fine since they have priority.

You should yield to the sports programs that use the field to practice and play games. After that, to people who have permits to use the field (like local youth sports).

This means, you stay out of their way and if they ask you to avoid a certain area, you do.

There are safety concerns which is why they sometimes ask you to leave. Ex: field hockey is practicing and you want to run on the track. They might not like it because they can't be sure you won't get hit with a flying ball.

If the field is empty, and not locked, I'd use it.

Apologies if this has been asked before, but I was looking to do some agility/conditioning work with my two sons. Does anyone know what the regs are, if any, for using tracks/field turf fields at local high schools? I'm thinking in particular of Montgomery Blair HS.
