When your daughter is 18, it's not going to be a question of allowing her anymore.

I was 15 the first time I went to a show with friends but no parents. We were high school sophomores. I don't remember anybody's parents being worried about it, but maybe they were and I just didn't know.

I started this year at 13. She's been to several and all went well. You just have to know your kid.

I agree with freshman year and with a parent doing drop off and pick up. Would be open to it in 8th grade too depending on circumstances.

Yep, this. We started allowing DD to go to concerts at 14/15 which was when all of her friends started being allowed to go as well.

depends on kid and venue but 14-15

I let DD go to smaller clubs starting in seventh grade. She's bizzarely well behaved though and I dropped off and picked up.

9th grade as long as they go with at least one other person.

You really have to judge by maturity more than age. For my daughter maybe 15 or 16-unless she becomes suddenly impulsive. For my son-18. He has some special needs. He is a good kid, but impulsive, immature and naive.

I went to concerts at the Cap Center starting at 12-13.

15 would be the earliest I would even consider it. Probably would feel more comfortable with 17.

Since my kids are tiny and likely to get trampled, not anytime soon!

What age would you let your teen attend a concert at the Verizon Center with similar-aged friends, but without an adult chaperone?
