Tuition is $50K so attendance costs will likely be quite a bit over $60k total

Ursinus gives merit aid to good students. Many and maybe most are not paying that much.

It was on our son's list at first, but he later found schools he liked better.

It's one of the Colleges That Change Lives. I had a few friends visit who really liked the atmosphere. It was on my kid's preliminary list but deemed too remote so we never got there.

Way too small. It's full of kids who couldn't get in to Villanova, bucknell and Dickinson.0

Two family members attended Ursinus, were both student athletes, excelled academically and enjoyed their experience.

Ursinus is a good school but it is not an elite LAC -- definitely a rung or two below the top flight schools but the same cost.

And its $50k per year

Wow. That's expensive!

Yes, all private schools are expensive, they ALL cost upwards from $50k

And not even in top 10 USNWR.

Pretty much describes all elite LACs.

The big difference here is that an unhooked bright kid with strong scores can still get in.

My DC was researching this as a "safety" school, but we're really liking what we're hearing and seeing. Any grads or parents of grads/students out there who can share their experience?
