have your kid take the lifeguard course. Pools are always hiring this time of year.


+1, Our pool's management company has the classes on going and will pay for people to do it.

Nope. DD #2 is a rising college junior and is working as an office assistant at her college (JMU). DD #2 is working as a lifeguard at a local pool - she'll be a HS senior in the fall.

College student - no problem getting a job. DC wanted to go back to last year's fun summer job but got a good internship instead.

In our summer town there were still tons of summer help wanted signs up over memorial day. These are places that rely on HS and college students over the summer.
