Thanks. I am more nervous to stay on IVIG than to go off it, just because I had 2 pregnancies without anything like that, and now that my betas are good I kinda consider myself back to where I was with the other 2 pregnancies. But as long as it can't hurt, why not double down on my precautions???

OP here: is there any chance IVIG could *HURT* the ongoing pregnancy if it's not really needed? like if I'd be fine without it, can it hurt? I hate the idea of an infusion and Benadryl and Tylenol etc. during early pregnancy, but if it really can't hurt...

I agree, I think that is your safest course of action. Once your numbers come back he can decide if you should continue to get it.

He took blood draw today. Will have results Monday. My only immune blood issue is TNF alpha of 37.5

NK cells etc have always been normal

But he said regardless of bloodwork he wants to repeat IVIG

Have you had your numbers checked yet? I think until your numbers come back okay you should still get treatment. Just because you are further than you were last time doesn't mean things are in an optimal state to allow the placenta to develop normally.

The logic here should not be to get you past the point where you failed last time. You don't know how your previous pregnancies would have progressed if you had made it passed the point of a chemical. If you can get to the point where they see a healthy placenta and good blood flow those are good indicators but don't back out now just because you aren't convinced by the treatment you are on.

the reason i didnt expect to need it is that I'm doing IVIG for a history of chemicals. my chemicals have been a beta of 23, 17, 12 etc. I also have 2 kids, conceived with no immune treatments. with those kids, my betas were strong, doubled, no problem. so I sort of thought if I got a good beta, and it doubled, I don't need IVIG because I will have gotten past the point at which I had trouble, if that makes sense.

Looks like a good first number! yes I stayed on prednisone until well into 2nd trimester to keep my numbers in check.

Did you stay on prednisone also?

Let's see cd 10 got IVIG and BFP at 9-10dpo so it was ~14 days. They scheduled me quickly and I was able to get in within a day or so.

Why are you nervous? I thought the whole point was to help you get pregnant and I'm pretty sure you know it's pretty likely you'll need another one. Some people get them weekly at first.

What was your first beta?

How soon after your BFP did you get another dose? I had one dose 5 days before transfer which was 2 weeks ago. He's suggesting one next week. I'm nervous to do it while pregnant.

Mine were about 10-14 days apart at first.

Has anyone done this? How far apart were the 2 doses?
