My company didn't even both to tell candidates they weren't long listed or short listed. Sometimes they just didn't fill a position if they didn't find anyone they thought was suitable so the position would be "open" for a year. The only contacted you to tell you you didn't get the job if you were interviewed. But I've also interviewed for jobs where they just never called me back.

Yes, our office is still "reviewing" applications submitted 60+ days ago. HR is overwhelmed and not sourced well. It's annoying for all parties involved.

Yes, some companies are super slow. Also it's summer and many decision makers may be on vacation.

I've applied for a few positions in the last few months and have not heard anything back, yet the positions are still showing as open and/or my application status is still in "under review" status. Is it possible that I could still be contacted for an interview?
