I assume so.
College is around ~ 70k right now. Oldest kid is only 8.

We have been saving $300/month/kid since they were 1. They are now 9 and 6. We recently opened a third 529 at $300/month to give us some more savings.

We saved $300 per month per child for 16 years, and have stopped funding our 529 plans because we have enough to pay for 4 years in state.

$0 and DS asked about it couple of times. I said that we will see when the time comes. Maybe he is not a college material, or maybe he will go to the military or maybe he will get scholarship or maybe he will have to pay himself.

$1800 a month split between two kids. We did not start saving until halfway through ES when I went back to work so a large chunk of my take-home pays goes to college savings.

Right now we're at about $250 / month for our 2 year old. Daycare is expensive, yo.
We were able to start out with a lump sum, so we have about $17k. Grandparents have about $15k saved.
I know we have to do more, but it's tough. I'm impressed at the $600-800 per month numbers

About the same. We split $800 monthly between two kids and have $90K for 13 year old and $65K for 11 year old.

We do about the same at $700 split between our two. Our 12 year old has 75K saved and our 10 year old has $60K. We are on track to be able to pay for public university education which was our goal.

We split $640 and I feel that we need to save more. Kids are 10 with $65K saved and 5 with $30K saved aleady.
