Op here. Yes! Forgot about these and tampons! So ridiculous!

Get a cup. That'll save tons of money & environmentally friendly.

+1!

+2

They don't fit me well so I don't use them, but there are other options. Don't bitch.

Agree. I use a Diva Cup & fleece pantyliners. Sucker no more.

Companies know there is a demand for things like razor blades, maxipads, and toilet paper.

It's Econ 101. If more people use leaves to wipe, then the price of TP would decrease.

Never buy TP, paper towels, or laundry detergent at full price. Every week or other week, they're on sale at CVS or Giant and so on. Then look in the Sunday paper for coupons on them also. You can save a lot with that combination.

I hear ya OP! I go to CVS for things like face wash, toothpaste, etc. and come out $100 later. For necessities!

As an aside, how does someone not wear socks?? Do you never go for a walk or to the gym? What if it's winter? Do you have the smelliest shoes on earth?

Supply and demand. Everybody needs it. Try Costco toiler paper, I find it last a long while.

I don't wear socks. And we use Scott. It works just fine. DSC has saved us money on razors.

OP I totally feel your pain. Nothing hurts me more than having to spend $40 on TP and paper towels knowing that it will just be going in the trash/down the drain.

If you want a little bit of a humor, my ex only buys Scott TP and calls it man paper because "it takes sh*it off nobody."

Razors & replacement blades are the one that get me. Even my generic Target ones cost $2 each.

My husband uses the old-fashion metal handle with plain blade and that is cheap.

Agree, but look for sales or use a store's app for basic household/cleaning products.
Target Cartwheel App had 20% off Cottonelle TP (and I had another $1 off coupon for each pack) and 10% off their brand of paper towels.
Bras should last you a couple years if you take care of it. Don't wear the same one 2 days in a row if possible (it wears the elastic out faster), wash in cold water and use the gentle cycle (hooks closed in mesh bag), hang to dry. I'm okay with paying $50+ because they generally last a lot longer than a cheap one.

I just got to thinking. How come random hygiene items cost so much?

Toilet paper ($20 for a pack)
paper towels ($20 for a pack)
Bra. A good bra literally costs like $40-$50 . I just don't get it.
Socks...Why do socks cost more than shirts? Like a pack of socks can cost between $16-$25. They are socks.

I mean, I won't buy the cheapest stuff because it doesn't work well and falls apart and I don't have the time to buy replacements for products that don't work but its just crazy to me.
