With 3-4 cars, it sounds like you don't live in a 1400SF apartment like we do, so storage is probably no issue for you. However, I'm sold on the concept. I don't want a cheap carseat for everyday use, nor do I want to lug around a 30lb convertible through airports and rental cars.
Your are right. We live in a 900 square foot house. 1400 feet would be so nice. Want to trade square footage -that would be a huge increase for us.We had a corroco and then we had a safety first go hybrid for travel. You can get lightweight seats. We have 3 cars now, two when child was little. We kept an old car. And, grandparent cars as well.

It's worth it for me (cost and storage wise) to not worry that a checked car seat can be damaged without us knowing. The cosco is so light, I imagine it's easier to travel with too.
What is your travel seat?
