The Perriello supporters seem to be a bit...insane about their candidate.

Solidly behind Northam. If Perriello does win the primary I will support him.

Perriello has waffled on abortion, gun control and gay rights when it suits him. No thanks.

Northam, and without qualms. Perriello has been unreliable to the point of dishonest. He lied in campaign promises re gun control. He lied about supporting choice, voting for the extreme Stupak amendments (actually three key clauses) to the ACA, despite explicit promises only days. Score the vote. He was incapable of retaining his own base. He has no material record of public service or even engagement, apart from his one turncoat-term in the House. He seems erratic and politically untrustworthy. He is incapable of doing the job - he can't accurately answer even basic questions about State government. He is incapable of winning the general election. A vote for Perriello is a vote for a Respublican governor.

+1. I have a friend obsessed with Periello but I'm not seeing it.

I will happily vote for whoever the Dem nominee is in the fall. No Way in hell am I voting for an R for governor. Our legislature is crazy as it is. Giving them a chance to actually turn their nonsense into law is not ok with me. We need a governor to be able to veto them.

I should add that I will happily vote for the democratic candidate in the general no matter which one of them it will be

OP here and I agree, either of these two seems 100% better than Ed Gillespie.

I like Perriello-- he got elected to Congress from a pretty R central Va district. I think he knows how to fight the good fight by building coalitions.

I'm going with Northam. I got to hear him speak a couple months ago, and he was very sincere.

Seems like the Republicans are basically decided, but what about the Democrats? This Periello guy seems to have come out of nowhere. Northam seems to have a lot more experience though. Who do you like?
