OP - where did you end up deciding and how? Please share your experience if you are comfortable

I think it also depends on how religious of an experience you want to have since you said you only go to church for the major holidays. Not that it matters because both accept students that do no practice their respective faith, if that sort of thing matters to you it could be factor. While both of them are faith based schools, I think St. Jerome's is a bit more religious in terms of following Catholic doctrine, where as Holy Trinity is more big picture faith without the emphasis on Episcopal doctrine.

Also check where the last couple of 8th grade classes ended up for high school. I think Holy Trinity is just a tad bit more expensive but both are affordable for the DMV.

When you went to visit how you feel after each visit?

I know a lot of families add SJA and they seem to be very happy. It isn't a perfect school, yet decent, nonetheless.

OP here. Very similar in tuition and class sizes, and neighborhood goes to both areas, so its a wash. Was hoping to get some thoughts from parents at either if their DC is thriving, thanks.

What are the class size differences? What about tuition? Are you comfortable with either? What about neighborhood friends? Are there other kids from your neighborhood going to either?

have narrowed it down to these two...we are christians (informal and go to church on holidays) and not catholic, but want to go wherever might provide the best education for DC who is advanced in reading and both schools do singapore math

st. jeromes classical education is appealing because of the latin-based curriculum, and their emphasis on classical literature that might seem to provide a good foundation for any child later in life,

holy trinity does spanish, have no idea about their reading/writing, appears to have a good emphasis on music as well

i imagine children from both school go on to do well at high schools, but would love to hear thoughts from any parents that might have looked at both, am hoping for a school that will teach DC to read and write well, and think creatively

any thoughts??
