Just because I can't gauge based on how still she'll sit for a movie at home, etc.

It really does depend on the child. I took my child at 5 and he found it very overwhelming. Movies are really loud, and he found the big screen to be a lot. I think we left before the end.

Took my oldest when he was 3 and he sat through it the movie just fine. Had he not went well we would have waited longer before trying again.

I've taken mine at 2.5 and 3. It depends on the child. If they wouldn't sit for a whole movie or tv show at home I wouldn't take them. My 3 year old behaves great and loves going to the movie theater.

One of mine at 3 - the other at 2.5. Both girls and both handled it fine. Took my nephew at 3.5 and he was fine too - I think it's kid to kid though - can he sit still and watch etc

I didn't take them until they were 7. But we're a very low screen household - they didn't even watch tv until 6.

I'm a grandmother and it has been so many years I cannot remember! My grandson is 3. Just in general, is that too young? I do not have a particular movie in mind at the moment.
