Agree with the above posters. No big deal for DH to go out occassionally, even with the last minute plans, as long as you guys did not have other plans. It can be your turn to plan an outing with girlfriends next!

I can understand if you have small kids because then you are short of helping hands, but if you have older kids (5 years and up), you should learn to CHILL. No kids? Take out, leftovers or a bowl of breakfast cereal. Soak in the bathtub and watch something that you don't usually. Or get in the bed and read some erotica or something equally fluff.

You could have texted at 7 and asked about dinner. You should like you're looking for a reason to be mad.

If you guys didn't clarify dinner when you were texting, then at around 7:00 you should have decided to go ahead and eat. And as 21:12 said, take-out plus tv would be perfect for the situation!

Op, do you have kids? If not, or even if so, but then advance warning is necessary, you should encourage your dh to spend time with friends. If you do, he will tell you when he is going and also what time he will be home. If he knows you disapprove, he will wait til the last minute to tell you and stay later than he said.

It is now 9 and I am still waiting. I am annoyed to be kept waiting.
