A cake with Happy Mother's Day on it, a card wishing him a wonderful Mother's Day, some KY jelly for his electrode pads and for his hand to play with the toy he was born with.

OP here, if DW was treated the same way for Mother's Day, there would be hell to pay. She would be on Facebook letting everyone know she did not get a gift. She slept in, we went out to pick out new plants for her to go along with the gift she had already gotten. And yes I cooked her dinner, and made sure the kids got her a card.

I know no one who does this. Facebook is the land of propping up a terrible marriage...not shining the light of reality on it.

I take both kids so he can do a long bike ride. Older DC makes him a card. We get him a gift card he can use for his hobby, which he usually doesn't like to spend money on because he feels guilty. I make one of his favorite meals for dinner and we spend time together as a family in the afternoon.

Pretty similar to how we spend Mother's Day except reversed and we go out to eat. Low key but also special.

I'm taking my ex-husband out for crabs. And will probably get him something to do with one of his hobbies as a gift. He made my Mother's Day very nice for me and I'm going to return the favor when it's his turn.

Brunch, homemade card from kid, hike or something. What he likes to do.

Usually we wind up staying home and not going out (his choice, not mine). The kids and I give him cards and little gifts, I cook him a nice dinner and he spends time watching sports on t.v., hanging out in the back yard, etc. Basically whatever he feels like doing...
