Not necessarily true. In the DC Private school forum the parents share lots of information about the schools. I wish we'd share more in PG. Lots of smart folks with great ideas. I suppose it doesnt help that the name of site is called DC Urban Mom. Lol. We need a PGUrbanMom.

The county is pretty diverse geographically. Topics relevant to the northern part of the county are not always relevant to the Central or Southern portions of the county. Inside the beltway and outside the beltway also do not necessarily share the same interested audience.

Many of us lurk and only read/chime in on topics that are relevant to us. For instance, I live in northern PG. I don't know too much about Kenmoor in Hyattsville (inside the beltway) or Highland Park (inside the beltway and Central). When people post about John Hanson or Upper Marlboro or Ft Washington, I don't really know much about those parts of the county. But Bowie, Greenbelt, Laurel, Lanham, Beltsville, I do and would respond.

If I had to guess, maybe because summer is upon us.
