All of the whiners and crybabies must be from elsewhere and just don't understand DC. It's perfectly natural that those with friends in high places get a little extra attention.

Could this be a lawsuit for a "regular" family who was denied an opportunity with cause?

For example, we attend a dual-language title 1 school, but wanted our kid to attend Oyster (top ranked DCPS dual language school) because it offers better extracurricular and rigor.

Does Ms. Snowden have them?

I think this will/should affect Bowser and Henderson much more and much sooner than it will Courtney Snowden. She's better off sticking with Sen. Baldwin than running for a D.C. office anyway.

And, just because I'm a stickler, she's in charge of "greater economic opportunity." The deputy mayor for economic development is Brian Kenner who appears to have a rock solid background in that field.

Does Deputy Mayor Snowden have a political future, now that it's public she received political favors that she personally benefited from?

The Deputy Mayor previously ran for office and lost. After a job working for a Member of Congress not from the DMV, she was a special interest lobbyist, was able to afford private school, and currently makes over $200K. She lives in Deanwood, but doesn't seem to really want to be part of the community. Also, not sure what in her background qualifies her to be an expert on economic development?

Do you think this scandal will be the end to her political career or just a continuation of the pay for play system we've had with a few of our mayors?
