I agree, be more worried about girls in middle & high school.
Odd story though, OP, where were the boys heard screaming these things, at a school pep rally? Our school stopped them in the early 90's because seniors kept chanting "freshman suck"

When I was in high school, boys trashed girls all the time. Sad that it's the same 30 years later. But no one EVER shouted racial slurs. Can't remember that happening even once. And they didn't talk trash where parents could hear.

You should have went to the media! The Washington Post has been documenting every swastika drawn in a bathroom stall and racial slurs sung on a bus up in Montgomery County. I'm sure Fairfax would appreciate the coverage as well.

Sounds contrived. You've been spending time there...on two occasions? It's also odd how you referred to these supposed epithets in the passive tense ("boys were heard" rather than "I heard boys"). And you were close enough to ID kids from your church, but not so close that the kids moderated their trash-talking. Sorry, this doesn't quite add up.
