Maybe. But a woman whoies about BC will end up.pregnant. Taking away a condom can leave someone sick or dead.

Woman here, and I also agree. I can't believe that any woman would think this was OK--and then turn around and say a man doing essentially the EXACT same thing is wrong.

In sum, I think the media is promoting this to frighten women, and it's working, when in reality there is like one person on the US who has probably done this. I had this thought too. Not really something to say outside an anonymous bulletin board at this point just in case it actually is widespread. Might be like those rainbow lipstick parties high school kids were reported having a few years ago that turned out to get articles read but apparently weren't widespread. (Of course, I'm against stealthing. )

Some guys don't care. I found out later, the guy who stealthed me (that sounds weird to say) wound up with a couple of kids around the same age. I guess he went on a spree.

As pp noted, sure it happens but think of it this way, does a man really want to risk getting a woman pregnant or an STD in the first place? I never wanted to take that risk.

While I'm sure that this happens on occasion, I don't buy into this being a new or growing threat. Why would men want to increase the chances of an unwanted pregnancy? Again, I'm sure it happens, but the sudden explosion of stories about it seems like a classic moral panic, like the "satanic rituals" panic of the 1980s.

And yes, the analogy of women lying about using birth control is fair.

If consent was based on use of a condom, and a condom was removed intentionally by a male partner (e.g., it didnt break), without female partner's knowledge and consent, then this would be nonconsensual activity punishable as criminal behavior, with related civil liability.
