DD said she was underwhelmed by Miami when she visited. Nice campus, but too small a town and questioned the college's isolation when it comes to recruiters coming to campus, etc.

Very much liked USC's campus and, of course, the state of the art facilities of the Darla Moore School of Business.

We feel she made the right choice.

For NOVA they are both UVA and W&M are there. DD decided on Carolina.

I agree with this. Depends on which your child is looking for. They're pretty distinct differences.

Also, I wouldn't count on the strategy of going to NOVA and getting guaranteed admission to UVA or W&M. NOVA doesn't even include these two top schools in its promotional materials anymore. That's not to say it doesn't happen, but I think it's becoming more the exception than the rule.

Both schools offered significant aid to DD. We visited and she is unsure of either. Other option is to stay home and go to NOVA for the guaranteed admission program to W&M or UVA? Thoughts?
