I get it. You have an offer to a less-than-ideal job offer and your current place might be ending soon/no severance since it's a contract.
What about taking new job, doing the minimum and continuing your job search. Just say it's not a good fit if asked why still looking. Happens all the time. Companies hide important details all the time from job candidates.

Gives us a bit more info. Seems like a bad decision to jump especially if your job will be around.

+1. I would wait for a better offer. You don't need to grab the first fish that bites.
