Do you really need it explained that different people find different things aesthetically pleasing? And that what you find aesthetically pleasing is heavily influenced by a variety of cultural factors?
You're not very bright, OP. Elaborate nails aren't my cultural jam. Neither are lotus points, stretched earlobes, or Vineyard Vines. But I'm not dumb enough to think that my cultural niche is universal
Are you really so stupid that you don't get that OP is just kvetching about something she/he finds incredibly ugly. I get that you are trying to be all flowery and inclusive, but you just sound pompous.
cultural niche....ha ha ha ha.
I agree, OP, that those nails are incredibly ugly.

Very long nails deserve a bad rap, because contrary to other beauty trends, it's extremely unhygienic.

Anonymous wrote:Yes, they get the nails because they find them pretty. Duh. I can't give a firsthand explanation, as I don't care for the look myself, but it seems obvious without needing an explanation. It's like any other fashion trend.
And I don't think the DCUM demographic is one they'd look to for advice on what's stylish.
