Check out Boden. Their Santorini suit is really cute. For Lands End, look at the Swim Mini Skirt with a halter tank. It's all short and cute enough that it will let youi play with the kids and not flash people without making you feel too "mom-ish."

This. I love their halter tankini. Some are even reversible, so it's like getting two suits in one.

I'll add to the Land's End Chorus. My suits are on their 4th season. I have several "outfits" - swim skirt, rash guard and tank top. Every time I wear them, someone asks me where I got them from. No, they aren't sexy, but they can take you from home to the park/pool/wherever. I initially bought them to cover up my c-section tummy and I wanted something I could chase my kids around in without worrying about something popping out.

This seems like it could be your new look.

A tank top and shorts, except it is swimwear.

I like this one--lots of coverage but has an "Old Hollywood" vibe that takes it out of frump-land.

I was going to say Lands End as well. I guess we're a chorus now.

I just got this one.

It holds everything in place and the ruching is flattering, and I don't think it's too dowdy.

Lands End mail order. I always order a few tankini options, and send back what I don't want to keep. Nice to order different top and bottom sizes.

Tankini's are my personal fav.
