Yes Mr Wash has gotten crazy expensive and usually the coupons I’ve seen are for $25.

I’ve been going to David’s on Four Mike Run as mentioned above. They do a great job for $16 - both inside and outside.

There’s an outside only on Lee Highway at Washington Blvd where it may be cheaper with a fill up. But the cheapest one is $8.

Not close-in, but there is one of the drive through washes at Connecticut and Aspen Hill Road in MD for about $8 for a quick wash when you buy gas. Also one in Gaithersburg near Lake Forest.

Hm, I would like to say that the best option for you is trying to work with https://sparklescarwash.com.au. They're charging little bit more than 20$, but THE BEST is NOT the CHEAPEST, as you know. So, if you want to get an excelsior quality for a decent price - that's the option.

BP on Georgia and 13th has the add a car wash option. It's the BP on the west side of the intersection. Not far from Walmart.

There's a Shell in Rockville that has a big carwash like that.

If you're near the DC CostCo, there's a pretty awesome little car wash just off Montana Ave NE. It's $20 for an SUV and they vacuum everything, do all the windows, put your car through the wash, hand dry, and windex everything.

The gas stations got rid of the automated car washes. I think they were expensive to maintain and constantly breaking down. There really are not any in metro DC and the ones I've seen while on roadtrips are almost always broken. They were definitely a "thing" in the 90s.

I love the coin one in College Park, but now that my kids don't go to MD I rarely get a chance to go there.

So the drive thru car washes aren't "nice." They just wash the outside. The nice places vacuum and wipe out the inside...

I go to a car wash that's next to the Target off Rockville Pike (White Flint-ish area). It's relatively inexpensive, and they get you through the line a LOT faster than other car washes in this area (I'm looking at you, Montgomery Hills Car Wash...)

There's still one of the combo car wash/gas stations in Bethesda-- on Wisconsin between downtown and NIH by Harris Teeter.

Yes but you have to go to the suburbs. I've never seen one of those combined gas/car wash stations in the close-in suburbs either. I go to one on a regular basis but it's down near Upper Marlboro, MD. -- $6 for the "economy" wash.

I remember those car washes in the Midwest where you could add $5 to your gas fill-up and get a quick wash. Anything like that around DC? I live in upper NW and it seems my SUV costs around $25 every time. Granted they hand dry it and vacuum but gosh - it seems exorbitant. Plus I tip the actual workers.
