Great! Their seats are really uncomfortable but I would still fly them over anyone except Virgin.

We flew them last summer for the first time to PDX. I'd fly them again in a heartbeat. We flew out of DCA, which is preferred over IAD (the United option to PDX). TSA always finds something wrong with me at IAD.

Alaska Airlines is highly rated in satisfaction surveys.

Look for fares on Google Flights and you might find an even better rate than just through their website. I saved about $70+ per person that way.

I don't think you could pay me to travel on United if I could choose between them and Alaska.

Love alaska air. Great service -- I've never had a problem. Easy to get a cheap companion fare by signing up for the Alaska airlines credit card.

Alaska Airlines is great. Perhaps the best domestic carrier.

10:10 PP and they're definitely great with kids. I'd noticed it even before I had a child of my own but our last two flights were with our 4 month old DD and they were awesome with her and very helpful to this frazzled FTM.

They are a fantastic airline-great customer service too. I grew up in the PNW, and regularly will pay extra $$ to fly on the Alaska direct flight from DC to Seattle when going to visit my family. Lucky you that you found a deal-have a great trip! (Alaska air now owns Horizon Air and Virgin America too)

I love Alaska Airlines. I take them exclusively from DCA to LAX each summer and sometimes during spring or winter breaks. They are wonderful. Plus, they have direct flights from DCA. SO much easier with kids.

They have snack packs to purchase on the plane with a credit card. My kids look forward to them. They have seen the place where the cheese is made in Seattle on the fruit and cheese platter. So, it's extra fun for them. But I would still bring food since it's a long flight. Enjoy.

Flew with them to Portland. Would fly them again.
They were helpful with our baby's car seat and complimented us on using it.
Hawaiian on the other hand was rude about the seat.
Will use Alaska again for sure

Took them for the first time DC to Seattle. Totally fine. Ended up offering us free checked bags because it was a full flight and they wanted to reduce carry ons. Can't remember what the service was like .. I think it was similar to most other carriers. I would definitely use again.

I've flown with them several times alone with a toddler and they were great.

So far as I know they won't give your seat to one their employees after you board and drag you off the plane.

We use them exclusively for traveling to Portland where DHs family lives. We've never had a bad experience in the years we've been flying with them (and we love they have a direct flight to PDX from DCA). Crew are always friendly, gate agents have their act together, just a good efficient experience. Is it luxury flying? No. But for a domestic airline, they're really good.

I feel like if you know nothing about them and don't hear about them in the news, then it's probably an ok airline.

Looking to buy tix for a family of four to the West Coast so budget is an issue. Right now they are highly competitive price-wise with United, but I know nothing about them. Any recent reviews?
