PP, how long does it take to get into the city on the PATH train from the Jersey City Marriott?
10 minutes. It is brand new at the Grove Street PATH station. Are the rates less than $250/night there? Also, there is a Hyatt at Exchange Place PATH station which is one stop closer to NYC and, thus, takes only about 7-8 minutes into WTC PATH station in NYC. But rates are usually no lower than $299/night.

Hoping to spend less than $250/night on lodging; two kids could share a bed if need be; the third could have a rollaway. Recommendations for favorite hotels/VRBOs/AirBnBs in this price range?

We've stayed at the Affinia hotels before, but they might be over your $250 limit
